When has fear ever done anything but collapse us? It certainly has no ability to uplift, to encourage, to enlighten our lives. Instead, concentrating existing in a state of fear pulls those fears more completely into us, making our world very small indeed.
My husband Al and I live part of the year on the banks of the Yellowstone River in Montana. Water has always held a special meaning for Al and me – it is where we met and much of our lives continue to revolve around lakes, streams, and rivers.
